Our Story.

There are homes you remember without being able to say, at first, why.

The room was not trying too hard. The table was not arranged for effect. The flowers were simply where they ought to be, and the coffee was good enough for someone to ask for another cup. Studio Gallimore began with that feeling, in the slow making of our own home. We were restoring an old schoolhouse then, learning that a house is not made by grand gestures, but by decisions small enough to be missed until they are missing. The name came from Gallimore. The reason came from living there.

At first, it was only the way we lived. Flowers gathered from the garden and the lanes nearby, arranged because the room seemed to ask for them. Coffee searched for and tested because the ordinary cup had begun to feel like a small betrayal. Then people started to notice. Not loudly, and not always immediately, but in the way that matters. They paused by the flowers. They asked about the coffee. They remembered the house. A family wedding followed, then more pieces, more requests, and the gradual understanding that what we were making was not only flowers or coffee, but a way of helping a home feel more considered, more generous, and more itself.

Studio Gallimore is that understanding given a name. The Studio and The Home are simply two parts of the same house: one for flowers, commissions, wedding work, and pieces made by hand; the other for coffee, hosting, gifts, and things chosen for the life of the house. We make and choose slowly, because a thing should earn its place before it leaves us. If there is a purpose behind all of it, it is this: to help the ordinary life of the home feel less accidental. The everlasting flowers on the hall table. The freshly roasted coffee kept in stock. The table ready before anyone sits down.
