In the Victorian era, the lord and lady of the manor built a school here and gave it to the village. It was built to last, and it has. Studio Gallimore takes its name from their story.
Things made well tend to outlast the people who made them.
Everything here is either made in the studio or chosen from suppliers good enough to sit alongside it. The flowers come from the Netherlands and the beans from Brazil, because that is where the best of each was found.
Most of what leaves the studio is meant to be kept: an everlasting piece for years, a photograph for a lifetime. The coffee is meant to be finished and ordered again. Flowers for weddings and occasions are priced for the flowers and the hours they take, not for the occasion, and a single bag of coffee is as welcome an order as a wedding. It seems the right spirit for a building that was first given away.
